  • Organization and provision of substantive elements for a National Expert Workshop on the ratification and implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism, the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Protocols, as well as on international cooperation against terrorism and  Transnational Organized Crime in Nouakchott, Mauritania: the Workshop was jointly organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Ministry of Justice of Mauritania (18-20 April 2006).

  • Organization and substantive preparation of three technical assistance missions for (1) the revision of national legislation for Algeria, Madagascar, Mauritania for reviewing and (2) training of criminal justice systems practitioners on international cooperation in criminal matters related to terrorism
  • Drafting of the "UNODC Guide for the implementation on the universal instruments against terrorism":
    The major objective of this legislative guide is to assist members states in the ratification, legislative incorporation and placement of the universal instruments against terrorism. The guide was mainly written for the consideration of policy decision makers and for members of parliaments who are in charge of drafting and-enacting those laws. It also aims at facilitating the negotiation and implementation of treaties, bilateral or multilateral agreements relating to international co-operation in penal matters which is a decisive tools in  the fight against terrorism.
    This guide was distributed both during the 11th Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Congress in Bangkok in April 2005 as well as during the 14th session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice which was held in Vienna 18-28 May 2005.
    The guide has been published as an official UN document in English and French and is expected to be available in the other UN languages.
  • Organizing and providing the substantive elements for the “Meeting of the Group of Experts for the establishment of the manual for practitioners on the implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism”, Siracusa, Italy, ISISC, 27-29 June 2005
  • Providing a substantive input in the Regional Ministerial Conference of the French-   speaking States of Africa for the ratification and the implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism, the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its three Protocols (Port-Louis, Mauritius, October 25-27, 2004).
  • Providing a substantive input in a Regional Expert Workshop organized by UNODC on the ratification and implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism, the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its protocols the UN Convention against Corruption as well as on international cooperation against terrorism,  transnational organized crime and corruption as well as on the drafting of reports to the Counter-Terrorism Committee of the United Nations Security Council in Praïa, Cape Verde.
  • Organization and provision of substantive elements for a workshop on international cooperation against terrorism and promotion of regional cooperation in criminal matters in Cairo, Egypt: the Workshop was jointly organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Ministry of Justice of Egypt.  The main objective of the Workshop was to share information and practical experience in matters related to methods and techniques on combating terrorism, including the legal aspects related there.
  • Organization and provision of substantive elements for a National Expert Workshop on the ratification and implementation of the universal instruments against terrorism, the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Protocols, the UN Convention against corruption as well as on international cooperation against terrorism,  Transnational Organized Crime and Corruption and in promoting regional cooperation in criminal matters to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso: the Workshop was jointly organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Ministry of Justice of Burkina Faso.  The main objective of the Workshop was to share information and practical experience in matters related to methods and techniques on combating terrorism and transnational organized crime, including the legal aspects related there.
